Rachel was on the founding team & Head of Business Development at Tomorrow Health (home health company with $90mm+ of funding, backed by a16z). There, she built go-to-market strategy, sold and implemented $1mm+ partnerships with insurers, and scaled teams across BD & operations. Prior to Tomorrow Health, she was a healthcare investor and banker at Goldman Sachs. She holds a B.S. in Finance & International Business from Georgetown University and attended MIT to pursue her M.B.A., ultimately leaving to co-found Tomorrow Health.
Smitha has over 10 years of healthcare consulting experience and was most recently a Senior Manager in Bain & Company’s healthcare practice. There, she led client teams re-designing their sales organizations and scaling their operating models. Prior to Bain, Smitha led a multi-million dollar initiative to deploy an identity & access management solution across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts under the CIO and spent time as a Product Manager at Amazon. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Bioengineering from UPenn and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Pooja has over 10 years of healthcare experience, spanning life sciences consulting, digital health, and public health. Prior to joining Ounce, Pooja was on the Business Development team at Wellinks, a COPD disease management company. She also served as a COVID-19 response fellow for the State of Connecticut, setting up a case management program for individuals who were quarantining. Pooja holds an MBA and MPH from Yale University, a B.A. in Biology, and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Wilson is a healthcare specialist, experienced consultant, and startup operator passionate about making healthcare more accessible. At Bain & Company, he worked across a range of industries and functions, including operational redesign, M&A, and product strategy. Wilson gained startup experience launching Concentric by Ginkgo, a COVID-19 testing service, during the height of the global pandemic, and as part of the Health Operations team at SameSky Health, a health equity and patient engagement startup. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Duke University and an M.B.A. in Health Care Management from The Wharton School.
Dylan serves as a D.C. Market Lead, bringing years of experience coordinating care for district residents and a passion for health equity. Prior to Ounce, Dylan was a Care Coordinator at McFarland & Associates and a Community Health Worker with the African American Health Program.
Dylan holds a Master's in Public Health from George Washington University, along with a Bachelor of Science from James Madison University. Outside of work, she enjoys dancing, playing tennis, traveling, and trying new things.
Tia is a Native Washingtonian leveraging 18+ years of experience and her community connections to bring vital resources and health education to the underserved Medicaid populations. Prior to Ounce, she served as Lead Investigator for DC Health and worked with MedStar’s community pediatric mobile unit, bringing critical resources to DC residents during the pandemic. Tia has a passion for service and unwavering commitment to closing care gaps through patient advocacy.
Tia matriculated at Xavier University in Louisiana after graduating from WMST Public Charter, DCPS and enjoys cooking, traveling, and building memories with her family.
Isaiah is passionate about health equity and improving healthcare access in the D.C. area. He is especially focused on assisting Spanish-speaking residents in navigating the healthcare system and providing them with the resources necessary to thrive. Prior to Ounce, Isaiah worked as a Bilingual Health Information Specialist with a government contracting agency.
Isaiah holds a Master’s in Public Health from Liberty University, along with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mary Washington. In his free time, he trains Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, travels, and spends time with friends and family.
Lorell is a Community Health Lead at Ounce of Care. A graduate of the University of South Florida and Florida International University, she brings a passion for increasing access to healthcare and all other aspects of public health. Lorell was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She enjoys baking, spending time with her dog Maya and loved ones. She is looking forward to interacting with D.C. residents with the goal of connecting them with the care and resources that will help progress their lifestyles.
Indya is a Community Health Lead at Ounce of Care. A graduate of East Carolina University and DC native, she brings passion for public health, education, and holistic wellbeing. Indya strives to advocate and empower her residents by increasing awareness of the benefits of living healthy, bridging care gaps, and creating a safe community space. Additionally, Indya enjoys traveling with friends cooking, dancing, and changing her hair. She is excited to be a part of the team and help provide an ounce of care to DC residents.
